Insurance
I am currently in-network with the following insurance companies:
Aetna (including Duke Basic and Duke Select plans, as well as CVS Health plans through the Health Insurance Marketplace)
Blue Cross & Blue Shield (including Blue Value POS plans and Blue Care HMO plans, excluding Blue Home and Blue Local plans)
North Carolina State Health Plan
If I am considered out-of-network with your insurance, I am happy to provide you with a superbill, which is a statement you can submit to your insurance company for potential partial reimbursement for sessions. Please note, however, that you will be responsible for paying the full session cost up front and if your insurance company offers reimbursement, they will pay that to you directly at a later date. My self-pay rate is $145 per session.
Cancellation Policy
I ask that you give me at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. I reserve a time slot specifically for you and cannot bill insurance for missed appointments or schedule another client for that time without ample advance notice. If you late cancel or no-show a session, you will be responsible for a $50 fee unless the reason for cancellation is an emergency.
Good Faith Estimate
The No Surprises Act, which went into effect on January 1, 2022, requires medical and mental health practitioners to provide a cost estimate for services to any client who doesn’t have insurance or who is not using their insurance to cover care. This Good Faith Estimate outlines the estimated total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare service, including therapy. In accordance with this law, if you do not plan to use insurance to cover sessions, I will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Session Details
I currently see clients in-person from 2-7pm on Tuesdays and 1-6pm on Thursdays. All other slots are for telehealth appointments.
Intake Process
If you are interested in learning more, please reach out to me so we can set up a free 15-minute consultation. From there, if we decide to set up a session, I’ll send you an invite to the client portal and ask you to complete a few intake forms. In addition, I will provide you with information about how to verify your insurance coverage prior to our first session.
